at 1:45 AM on Friday, July 10, 2009 When you take your kids to the creek or the river there are so many safety rules to follow and many things to look out for. The day we went fishing there had been many, many snakes that had been seen. I can remember watching every step I took afraid I might step on a snake. However, my children were not afraid and had so much fun even though Mom was a little on the nervous side. My little 3 year old little girl was the first to catch a native rainbow trout and it was about 6 inches long. My other 3 boys thought it was the end of the world because she was the first to catch a fish and they had to wait there turn as the fish took their own sweet time biting their bate. Needless to say if you are looking for something to do in the mountains and to have a lot of fun you have found the answer, fishing. We even had a fishing Derby in the North Georgia Mountains that the fish hatchery at Rock Creek does. They stock the river the day before and then let all of the children come fish on that one day. Please call if you need guidance or information on this and we will be glad to give you more information. We are natives of the area and Vincent, my husband would love to tell you some big fishing stories or direct you where to go. He loves the outdoors and hunting, fishing, or any other outdoor activities. I hope you enjoy your stay while visiting the North Georgia mountains and have the time to go fishing or even tubing down the Toccoa river. If you have ever been fishing while in the area please share your story with me. Please enjoy the clip that I have provided and I look forward to hearing from you. If you have pictures you would like to share or a video clip please e-mail it to me at christaldavis@tds.net and will post it on the web site. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2r_XyTt1v4 Thank you!
